Things will not change, the change will be 1) such cases will be suppressed 2) no new guideline is there 3) no weightage has been mentioned for those factors till date to calculate proper valuation of maintenance 4) no attempt has been made to stop extortion under law so that there should not be arbitrary usage of provisions. If the wife leaves at her own will then why should husband be burdened to maintain the same standard of living. This is nothing but favouritism to wives by degrading the life style of husband. If the separately staying wife is unable to bear expenses then the Custody should be given to husband instead of awarding money making scopes to wives.

Scrap it and you will have the family courts empty. Only genuine cases will face trial. Two years of separation between the spouses also should be reduced to six months of separation and must be ground for Divorce and Divorce must be granted. Child custody to be given to the parent who is financially better in the interest of the child's overall development with limited visitation rights to the other spouse. This will relieve the menfolk of the drudgery of being overburdened with the torture and extortion by women.

If the wife leaves at her own will then why should husband be burdened to maintain the same standard of living. This is nothing but favouritism to wives by degrading the life style of husband. Here’s what actually happens: when a woman approaches a lawyer for divorce and alimony, the lawyer often advises her to file false cases of domestic violence, 498A, and dowry harassment, even if the husband has done nothing wrong. On top of this, the court jurisdiction is where the wife resides, no matter how far the husband lives-1000 km or more-and the husband is forced to appear every single time the court calls. This is nothing short of legalized harassment.
The Supreme Court’s so-called guidelines are like pouring a single drop of water on a massive fire. They won’t fix anything. It’s far better to stay unmarried and save your hard-earned money than to risk falling into this broken & corrupt system.
